Special Plenary Session in the memory of Martin Ravallion
We will organize a special session in the memory of Martin Ravallion. Martin Ravallion was one of the world's leading development economists. His work on poverty measurement and poverty reduction has defined our discipline, and he had a big policy impact. Martin sadly passed away last December. He had a strong link with PSE, where he was a visiting professor. We would like to highlight Martin's legacy during the ICDE conference. We are very glad that François Bourguignon (Professor emeritus at PSE) has accepted our invitation to talk about Martin Ravallion's work, and to chair a round table debate on poverty reduction. Speakers:
Denis Cogneau (PSE), Sylvie Lambert (PSE), Kenneth Houngbedji (IRD), Léa Rouanet (World Bank) |
